This outside caliper cylinder has one single flare (that points up) and one double flare (that points down) when properly installed. Both of the flares on the inner caliper cylinder are the single flare type so if you’re not sure what a single and double flare look like, you can also identify them that way. Incorrectly installing the outer cylinder in the wrong orientation will damage the brake line and / or caliper cylinder assembly! ars
